Shield Your Network from Malicious Traffic

A pre-emptive approach ensures that your network stays protected from a wide range of malicious activities despite the continuing evolvement of threats.
- IPS examines behaviour to identify and block malicious network traffic
- Signature updates within IPS are applied automatically and without interruption
- The Trend Micro signature database delivers protection against more than 2000 threats
- Thera are a variety of scan options to ensure your performance needs are met
- Instant notifications of threats detected
- IPS seamlessly integrates with WatchGuard Cloud Visibility to give you full visibility
Instant detection and prevention of vulnerability exploits
WatchGuard’s IPS uses high-performance deep-packet inspection across all ports and protocols to proactively and identify and protect instantly against suspicious network traffic. Protection is provided around the clock. If a specific IP address is identified as the source of an attack, it can be blocked automatically to prevent future threats from attempting to penetrate your network.
Stay ahead of evolving threats
As threats are continuously evolving IPS looks for new signatures every hour and applies automatic updates to the IPS signature database so that your network remains protected against the newest threats. Your network is never left exposed.
Full Featured Threat Prevention
IPS has customisable settings which allows you to quickly choose full or quick scan options based on your requirements. You can also choose to allow (log only), block or drop suspicious traffic based on type of threat, user, group, protocol, and severity. Alarms can be set to inform you of detected threats.
Intuitive Management Console
IPS can be easily managed alongside your other WatchGuard Security Services by using a user-friendly management console that provides you with complete control and visibility of suspicious network traffic.
How IPS works
WatchGuard IPS works by examining traffic at the lowest level and matching patterns to a comprehensive and constantly updated signature database to identify threats. When a threat is identified, the WatchGuard Firebox acts according to set policies to block the threat or to notify the network administrator.
